What it is
Discipline comes in four beats: an instruction, an expectation, a possible lapse, a consequence. Everything is announced. Nothing happens by surprise.
How it unfolds
Instructions are set in the written agreement, together with the scale of consequences — from the most symbolic to the most tangible — and what is excluded. I never correct at random, never beyond what was written, and never in a way that leaves a lasting mark.
Correction is not an end; it serves the rule. A rule kept calls for no consequence, and that is often where discipline is at its strongest.
