What it is
Protocol is the grammar of the relationship. It sets how to enter a room, where to stand, when to lower one’s eyes, how to address me, in what order to carry out a gesture. None of it is arbitrary: each rule exists to make attention visible.
How it unfolds
We begin simply — a waiting posture, a form of address, a silence held — and the form is refined at every meeting. I correct, you repeat, the form settles.
It is the most demanding discipline because it forgives nothing: a glance raised too soon, one sentence too many. It is also the one that transforms fastest, because it lasts well beyond the session, in the way one stands and listens.
